The end of an era came this past weekend. Brieana Delgado the last of the Delgado sisters has wrestled her last college match. Brieana wrestled in the WCWA National Championships this past weekend at Missouri Baptist University in St Louis, MO. This was a tough year for the Bobo. She was injured with knee, hip and shoulder issues all season. So, this year was not the high win total she was hoping . Brieana finished strong. She came out of the top part of the 22 women bracket where the Champion, 3rd and 4th place finishers came. Bobo was 5-6 to finish 3rd and ended her college career on a win over Rosemary Flores, who had defeated her in the quarter finals. Brieana won the 3rd place match 2-1. In addition to her 3rd place finish during the tournament she hit three Belly to Backs and one Belly to Belly, two belly to backs went for pins.

It might be for the Delgados but not for South Carolina Women Wrestling. Nikki Weidman(Liberty High School) wrestles for Life University in Marietta, GA. She had a good freshman year and went 0-2 at her first WCWA National Championships. She is and going to make South Carolina Proud.
