The 4A/1A NORTH Team wins the CAWS N/S Allstate Mini Tourney in Aiken SC.
The best game of the Weekend was the game against the 4A/1A North versus the 4A/1A South the day before on Wednesday night. A cool breeze, and lowered temperatures provided much relief for the 105 degree, super hot day.
The SOUTH gets super hot early, and storm ahead to a dominating 5-1 lead after 4 innings. After 4, as they do in these tourneys, the line-up gets changed over to let everyone play. The 4A NORTH takes out the original speed line-up and puts in a bunch of power. They deliver. The 4A/1A NORTH comes storming back. Starts hitting the ball with a little more pop, and start scoring runs. Bottom 7th, get a key hit to win in a walk off 6-5.
Special THANKS ... To CAWS. For the players involved ... Softball was a minor event. It was as much to do about the dorms, and life around the top players, and sitting around the dorm room. Talking about what these special young ladies want to talk about. Who knows what this is from this poster. But to have an event which puts the absolute top shelf young Sr. Softball players all in one room for a couple of nights is really what it is all about.
Special ... I mean special thanks to CAWS. For what they are doing for the State is SC, and how it helps develope these great softball players into Lady Adults is something to behold.
