It appears that the Class of 2015 is a deep an talented group in SC. We have numerous kids holding D1 offers going into the summer Live Period. Here is a list of kids that I have heard hold offers at this point. I'm sure there are others that I am not aware and plenty more that are being actively recruited. Please feel free to add kids not on this list.

Christ School senior John Caldwell has committed to play college basketball for Roanoke College (Va.).
Caldwell
is a 6-foot-5 guard from Spartanburg, S.C. (Oakbrook Prep), and was an All-Carolinas
Athletic Association selection for the Greenies (25-9). He averaged 7.0
points and 3.4 rebounds a game.

MTSU men's basketball coach Kermit Davis said after his team's season
ended in March that he wanted to bolster his backcourt for next year.

The Blue Raiders signed junior college point guard Quavius Copeland and shooting guard Jalen Perry, a high school senior.
Copeland and Perry are the third and fourth MTSU signees in the class of 2015, joining Justin Coleman and Karl Gamble, both of whom are forwards and who signed during the early signing period in November.
Copeland, 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds from Gulf Coast State College in
Panama City, Florida, averaged 10.4 points, 3.9 assists and 2.2 rebounds
per game for the Commodores.

Anderson University head men’s basketball coach Jason Taylor has announced that Andrew Boynton (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.), Randall Shaw (Simpsonville, S.C.), Shawn Benard (Mobile, Ala.) and Carlos Dotson (Spartanburg, S.C.) have signed national letters of intent to play for the Trojans next season.

Randall Shaw, a 6-foot-2, 185 pound guard from Hillcrest High School, helped lead Coach Reggie Choplin’s Rams to a 26-3 record last season and an appearance in the Class 4A state championship game, while going undefeated in SCHL Region One play. Shaw scored 1,573 points during his prep career and holds the school record with 248 career 3-pointers, while garnering First-team All-Region recognition three times and all-state honors twice.

He was a Preseason Top 5 4A Player and was named Greenville County Player of the Year as a junior by the coaches association and led the Rams to a pair of Upper State Championships and a 23-game win streak. Shaw scored a game-high 25 points in the North-South All-Star game last month and was named the North team’s most valuable player. He was also named the MVP of both the FCA Spartanburg vs. Greenville All-Star Game and the 2014 C. Dan Joyner Poinsettia Classic.

Wando Guard Amp Moore has signed with Newberry.

Moore was a three year starter for Wando and an integral part of their 2014 state championship team. In 2015, he was selected to play in the North/South All Star game and was named All Region and team MVP.
 
Whale Branch HS Signings...

Boys basketball players were noted by coach Linc Lyles for having been part of 62 victories the past three seasons, including 10 playoff victories.
David Lamb and Marlon Williams will play at Allen University.
Michael Middleton will play basketball at Oakwood University and Jay Middleton at USC Salkehatchie.
 
Creek Bridge Warriors senior guard Jalen Eaddy plans to keep his shooting touch on point heading into the fall basketball as he was joined by family members and classmates inside the media center Tuesday, announcing his intention to play basketball at Morris College next season.

“I feel blessed for the opportunity and just plan to keep working hard and be a good player,” he said.

Eaddy averaged 10.7 points on a balanced Warriors team led by coach Doug Pearson.

Lamar basketball players Justice McCullough and Heylan Anderson and football player Hunter Collins signed their letters of intent Thursday.

McCullough signed to play at Southern Wesleyan while Anderson will play at Coker. Collins, a linebacker, is headed to play at Methodist. The three athletes join Carly Copeland, who signed to play softball at Montreat earlier in the month.

McCullough was the Class A Boys Player of the Year, an all-state selection and selected to play in the North-South All-Star basketball game. The 6-foot-6 forward averaged 20.9 points and 18.3 rebounds a game.

McCullough chose Southern Wesleyan over Limestone and Newberry among others.

Neither of the two players representing the Lowcountry as the top high school basketball players for the 2014-15 season were heavily recruited. Both, however, were vital to their respective teams’ success this past season.

James Island’s steady point guard Brady Schuck is the All-Lowcountry boys player of the year,...

Both Schuck and Caulder will continue their careers at (NCAA) Division III programs while earning quality educations.

Schuck is headed to Brandeis University in Massachusetts in the fall, hoping to earn a degree in education and pursue a career as a college basketball coach. He had walk-on opportunities at Furman and was recruited by several Division II programs, but chose to make the trip to the Boston area for the next four years.

Daquarius Johnson, a senior at Strom Thurmond High School, has accepted a scholarship offer to play basketball at Southern Union State Community College in Wadley, Alabama.
This past season, Dequarius led the team to the final four as he averaged 19 points and 12 rebounds per game. He also averaged 4 blocks and 3 assists per game and showed his defense capabilities by averaging 3 steals per game. Daquarius also averaged an amazing 54% in field goals throughout this past season.

2015 SG Adam Patrick of Spartanburg Christian Academy signed a letter of intent to play basketball for Spartanburg Methodist and coach Jeff Brockman: The SCISA Region I-2A Player of the Year, North-South and South Carolina-Georgia all-star averaged 20.1 points, 7 rebounds last year. A 4 year starter for Coach Chris Arp’s team he scored 1944 points and made 331 3 pointers in his career.
 
Even though National Signing Day has passed, there were students in the T&D Region who wanted to join the party on Thursday.

Three signed letters of intent, with Orangeburg-Wilkinson’s Isiah Felder...

In a packed media center filled with his family, coaches, teammates and friends, O-W’s Felder signed his letter of intent to attend Savannah State University on a full scholarship.http://thetandd.com/content/tncms/live/#8931061
In his senior year with the Bruins, Felder led the team in scoring with 19.8 points per game and was selected to the North/South All-Star game as well as the Region Player of the Year.
