If you are not attending the USA Event at Hilton Head this weekend, please consider this opportunity to get on the mats.

Patriot Open

The Patriot open on 5/2/15 will be a round robin format. My intention is to get every one as many matches as possible. Wrestlers that go and just wrestle two matches and go home aren't really getting the mat time that they need. Last year, we ran 2-1-1 minute matches. The first period will go the entire 2 minutes, even if a wrestler gets pinned in seconds. Come out and get the mat time you need. The tournament runs fast and the medals are cool.

THIS WILL BE A ROUND ROBIN TOURNAMENT! WEIGHT CLASSES WILL BE USED AS A GUIDE, THEN GROUPED TOGETHER!

ENTRY FEE: $20 for pre-registered wrestlers. Wrestlers MUST be pre-registered by 5PM on May 1st. Entry fee for wrestlers not pre-registered is $35. Entry fee for entering another division or weight is $15. Returned check fee is $25.Final registration and weigh-ins are 7-9 AM the morning of the tournament. Wrestling will begin as close to 10 AM as we can get.

DIVISION / AGE / WEIGHT CLASS

• TOT (6 and 7 Years Old) - 35, 40, 45, 50, HWT
• BANTAM (8 and 9 Years Old) - 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, HWT
• ELEMENTARY (grades 4/5/6) (13 year olds must compete in middle school) - 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 110, 115, 120, 125, 135, 145, 155, HWT
• MIDDLE SCHOOL (grades 7/8/9) (16 year olds must compete in high school) - 70,75,83, 90, 98, 106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 145, 152, 160, 170, 182, 195, 220, 285
• HIGH SCHOOL (grades 9/10/11/12) (19 or older must compete in college/open) - 106, 113, 120, 126, 132, 138, 145, 152, 160, 170,182, 195, 220, 285
• OPEN (Out of high school) - 125, 133, 141, 149, 157, 165, 174, 184, 197, 285

PLEASE NOTE: The Weight Classes will be more or less a guide, kids will be grouped together to maximize matches for all kids in each weight class.

Tournament Director reserves the right to combine weight classes if necessary.

Found it. One more question how is high school division. We have a 106. 132. 138. We would bring but travelling about 3 hours. So want to see if it worth it.

This will be a Round Robin tournament, no card needed.

All pools in a weight that do not get 5 matches in their pool will be cross pooled to get a 5th match. Not all kids in that pool, but the top 2 in each pool to determine 1st-4th.
