Woodruff wins 8-0. This was a tie breaker game for 3rd place in Region 3 AAA. The Woodruff girls played much better defensively and offensively. Some line up changes seemed to help with run production. Ashlea Hunter had 2 great hits that landed just short of the fence on Broome's field. Eliza Long had a solid pitching performance, giving up no runs on 5 hits, 1 BB, 1 HBP, and 5 SO.
The third baseman for Chester is a really good ball player. I love watching her play. She is only in the 9th grade, but always seems to make the correct decisions. I wish I could remember her name. I think we will be hearing more from her.
