1. His idea of "conditioning" is to have his players run lap, after lap, after lap.

Baseball is an explosive sport. Distance running is a waste of time. Just because that's the way they did it 20-30 years ago doesn't make it right.
 
2. His idea of weight training is bench press, military press, and push ups, over and over.

Most HS strength coaches spend way too much time on pushing exercises, and not nearly enough on pulls. Great way to screw up a shoulder.
