After having a melt down Friday night against Walhala in the 7th, The Wren Girls softball come back Saturday morning to beat Abbeville 10-5, Beat Broome 12-2, Beat West Oak 12-4 and Cresent 11-2 to win the Championship behind the pitching of Emily Dorn. Wren had 34 hits in the last 2 games with Savannah Huff and Kelsey Collins having homeruns during the day.Strong defense at 3rd by Jannel Deneroy and Shortstop Reagan Davis and Haley Lester at 2nd helped pave the way for the Hurricanes to crusie by their opponents.
Hope this is a sign that these young girls will learn to trust each other and understand that it is a team effort and every part of the game is a contribution and it is not always the bat that will win you games.
