The Boiling Springs Lady Bulldogs (14-2) represent the State of SC quite proudly in a high school tourney in Johnson City, TN this week.
The Unicoi County team won out in a classic duel 6-5 with BS staging a dramatic comeback in the last inning. Unicoi County is a top shelf team, and was glad to be in a Tourney where the two best teams made it to the end.
The Lady Bulldogs have little to hang their head in this one. Playing against the home team, the disputed calls do not go the SC teams way. But every game has its obstacles, and the BS represented very well and earned a ton of respect.
For the Lady Bulldogs, Home Runs are now coming in bunches, as eight (8) of the players have individually tallied a long shot. The team HR total stands at 22 in 16 games, on pace for a Boiling Springs Team school record of 43.
