The Gaffney Lady Indians came off the reservation ready to play some softball. It was a blustery, windy night, in front of a packed house in Boiling Springs. Our town loves their softball, and the head count proves it.

Top first with Gaffney up, and they get a single. then a bunt that gets another on. The #5 hitter Sarah Lipscomb gets up and hits an absolute blast, and all of a sudden Gaffney is up 3-0 before the game even really starts. The reservation is loud and proud and Boiling Springs is on the ropes. Is there an answer?

Maybe ... Myranda Dills squeaks through a single. And up comes the #3 Hitter McKenna Quinn, our pitcher. Bad count against her, and all of a sudden this left handed superior batsman gets a hold of one good. HOME RUN.... Ok good, at least BS is now in the game as the great Gaffney Indians bear down.

So we go around the order and the same starts to occur in the 3rd inning. Score still 3-2 Gaffney, and Myranda Dills again does what she has been doing all year, with a super high OB%, gets on base. Same song, different dance, McKenna Quinn is up. QUINN GOES DEEP with her 2nd Home Run of the night to WIN the game.

Boiling Springs 5 ... Gaffney 3

I have been watching softball for a long, long time. When a player ... A pitcher no less, gets in a super tight spot ... And picks up a bat ... Not once ... But twice ... Goes deep for two (2) Home Runs to win the game. Never seen it before. have to report.

McKenna Quinn can flat out BALL.
