Hartsville shutouts Union 4-0 in game 1

Union County takes game 2 with score of 6-3. Union County also took 2-3 physical assaults from Hartsville players, one Hartsville parent is escorted out of park after attempting an altercation in the Union dugout and the entire Hartsville team and coaches were escorted out of the ballpark and out of town by police escort.
We cannot say this is "just a game". For some reason it's a whole lot more serious than that. Game 3 to decide State Championship tomorrow at 6pm at Irmo High School.

Lady please don't hi jack my tread with your BS. The altercation took place after Union SS had words toward Hartsville catcher . An the umpires squeezed Drotar . But that's part of the game new umpires tomorrow at Irmo . Good luck to both teams .
Spot on...... They started with the nasty hand shakes and stupid jesters at Hartsville players. I've been at this a long time and have never seen such BS on a field.... When you have to throw the ball down the middle of the plate any of these kid should be able to hit it, hell maybe even me...
This is why no one wants to play up there. Heck, they even did it to Ashton Martin who is a very good pitcher.

You know I'm an upstate person and what went on last night at Timken doesn't represent us. Union coach is a jerk and has his way with the umpires at Timken. We all know the famous "Timken Strike Zone" phrase all well. It truly showed last night in the first two innings until "Petty" got him some runs. Hartsville's pitcher threw well but was forced to throw the ball over the middle of the plate. She normally doesn't walk 5-6 batters from MY experience when following her. Drotar was totally screwed at the plate. Kid is too good of a hitter to swing at stuff 6-8" off the plate and low.
Please take them down tonight. They have no feelings unless the shoe is on the other foot.

This should have been done many years ago. The way umps are assigned is a joke. I know its money to send them across the state but playoffs should be a even playing field. This has nothing to do with the game in question because this is a every year occurrence.
You nice folks do understand that not every game Union wins is at Timken, don't you? The strike zone is the strike zone no matter the park, no matter the umpires. Union played Chapin three games on their home field, losing one and winning two back to back. We didn't bring umpires with us nor "pay-off" any official for preferential calls. And the language used on this forum with "Hell", "Ass" and I guess the BS stands for something a bull does when his bowels are acting up. There has been one criminal threat made to a poster....

You've must think we are new to this . I've watched Drotar & Martin pitch all around the country to some of the most talented kids with less results than Union . Not saying Union doesn't have talented player , but travel is stacked with very talented kids .
And as to the strike zone , gopro is the bomb. And that's not a treat it as expression. I was able to review our game and it appears umpires doesn't understand that a ball can catch the front of the plate and break hard . It looked to me it was more important where it was caught than where it crossed the plate .
You told me not to hijack your thread, but you keep drawing me back in post after post. What part of "Union doesn't control umpires" do you not undestand? And who said anything about travel ball? And how are any of your comments relative to the discussion at hand?

I can see there is a lot of personal feelings in these posting between you all. Lots of good players out there last night for both teams. Gotta Love High School softball. South Carolina so blessed to be represented by so many talented female athletes and many are chasing their dreams to play College Softball. Let's remembers its their game, not us old worn out adults, that would probably pull something if we had to run home to first 
I'd be more upset that it's being played at Irmo. That field is a Cracker Jack box, it "might" be 180+. Pitchers better work it low and live there.

Seeing it my post they all do . Union pays for the umpires and can control which umpires are used . And I guess if I need to explain the comment about travel ball it way over your head .
