Allow me to summarize SC high school softball to date. Recognize this opinion is limited to what is seen on the field directly, and heard from others.

Hartsville has shown to be the class of 3A (wish they were 4A this year). Pitcher Carli Drotar, is a South Carolina commit, plays travel for Carolina Elite (Genovese) and is the class of the field as a sophomore.

Mauldin, though they do not wish to publicize, is in the lead in 4A. Pitcher Amanda Storch, is a USC Upstate commit, and plays travel for SC Elite (Pack). Dominant senior pitcher trying to earn a swansong with a state championship at the states highest level. The coaching change there seems to be working.

The High School Softball League is getting down to the wire. The folks in South Carolina should be proud, honored, with these great people who do their absolute best to put on a show that we are interested in, and watch, and the newspapers will follow.

To the action. There are a slew of great hitting teams, who want to see great pitchers. Believe it or not, it is a hitters game. The upstate has a bunch of teams slathering to hit good pitching. The lower state has the same.

Wow, two weeks to go until playoff time. Please others chime in (Scalp, NA Jacket) and correct, as this posters opinion is quite limited. We are about to embark on the best softball show this area has to offer, and in my humble opinion, in the nation.
