We have now confirmed KATERINA KOUTOUGKOU, member of 2004 Greek Olympic Team. I coached Katerina on the inaugural Greek National Team and she is a phenomenal person who became one of only two domestic Greeks on the eventual Greek Olympic Team. In addition to her softball experience, she has extensive acting experience, studies in psychology, and was the 100 meter sprint Greek champion. Learning to play a role in softball is very similar to playing a role in acting. Learning to mentally change from a scared young lady outside the box to a dominant hitter inside the box is like changing from a person simply standing around to one becoming a movie character when the camera lights up. Join Katerina, 1996 USA Gold Medalist DIONNA HARRIS, and numerous college coaches at our SELECT and FUTURES Camps, celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the 1996 OLYMPIC SOFTBALL GAMES which were played in Columbus, GA.

MARIE FOGLE - Assistant Coach at Georgia Southern University; former standout player at Georgia Southern University with career .345 batting average, .553 slugging percentage, and 27 home runs; three time All-Southern Conference honoree who helped lead team to two conference championships; former higher school and travel ball coach.
BOBBY FRESH (Director of Coaching Assistants) - Former assistant coach for Tift County High School, 5-time Georgia High School Association state champions; very popular instructor at Higher Ground camps and clinics; permanent staff member of SELECT Camp and very popular instructor of visual skills and team building.
DIONNA HARRIS - Leading hitter (.406) for the 1996 USA Olympic Gold Medal Team; top batting average (.611) at 1995 ASA Women’s Major Nationals; four-time ASA All-American; 1990 Temple University Player of the Year; Extensive experience with USA National Team, including Pan American Games; Extremely popular instructor at numerous Higher Ground camps and clinics, including the annual SELECT CAMP for Elite Softball and the USA Elite Hitting Institute.

NANCY MARK (Assistant Director) - Former multi-year ASA All-American and member of several national championship teams; 1997 National High School Coach of the Year; Teams won five Georgia high school state championships; Developed numerous college players; Featured instructor at Dutch National Clinic.
BOBBY SIMPSON (Director) - Founder of Higher Ground; Experience in Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, England, Germany, Greece, Holland, Italy, Scotland, Sweden, and U.S. Virgin Islands; Head Coach of British Women's Fastpitch National Team, Gold Medal winner of 2004 Olympic Test Event in Greece; Assistant coach for Dutch and Greek National Teams; Pro (K.C. Royals Baseball Academy) & college (Florida State) baseball coach; Author of Improved Hitting For Girls Softball; over 100 magazine articles (SOFTBALL Magazine Staff), manuals, and DVD's; Former Exposure Showcase Director at numerous colleges; well known for assisting elite players with key mental skills.
TINA WHITLOCK – Assistant Coach at University of South Carolina; two-time NCAA Division I All-American and four-time All-Conference at University of South Carolina; 3-year veteran of USA National Team, plus one year of professional softball with Durham Dragons; former Head Coach at Lander University (SC) and LeMoyne University (NY), and assistant coach at University of South Carolina at Spartanburg, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Mercer University (GA).
