It was a shame that the Blythewood pitcher got the loss last night. I can only remember 1 shot off the bats from Lexington. (first base line triple). Other than that, routine ground balls were at a lost for Blythewood. Over 20 errors in 3 games for supposedly the best two teams in 4A. Not very impressive showings for either side. Great crowd. Fun to watch in that venue.

You are right, the Blythewood pitcher pitched a very good game, there were alot of errors between short (all state SS) & second for them. Don't think the SS would have thrown out Lexington's lead-off, could have been scored as a hit, since the runner was 3/4 down the line before Bessinger got to the ball. Lexington ready to play on Friday, Reagan makes a big difference for Lexington when he is on the mound. The reason he is undefeated in the last 2 years & 11-0 this year.

Wednesday night was the reverse off the 3rd game. Lexington made all the errors and seemed flustered after the play they called Addy out for batters interference. Lance pitched very good with the exception of the home run to Dahm. Blythewood players wanted it more that night and played a very good game, better prepared & at home.

Monday's game was pretty clean game, there were a few errors on both sides, but clutch hits won the game. Good pitching by both teams.

I can think of a few errors in Monday's game, in one inning(or even one play). Game 2 by far was the cleanest game, and even that one wasn't pretty. The good teams almost always make you pay.

Still can't get over the awesome crowd at USC...have you ever heard of that many people at a high school game...anywhere, ever?

On the BigSpur message board there was a post by MCR who researched that this game trailed only LSU/Ole Miss (10,000+) and USC/Miss St (7000) in terms of being the largest amateur crowd in the country that night.

Wow!
