I am trying to get enough High School Girls to have a SC National Dual Team to compete in the USAW Girls Folkstyle National Championships in Oklahoma City March 27-29.
These are the following weight classes that are available.
97 - 105- Mattie Myers (Powdersville HS) 112- 117-
121- 125- 130- Amber Hunt 139-
148- 159- 172- Breana Jordan 198- Amani Beachum
We need a minimum of 8 girls to register as a team.
We have 5 Intermediates, Novices and School girls that have already expressed interest in going.
Cadets (born in 1999-2000) - 84, 88, 95, 101, 108, 115, 124, 132, 143, 154, 172, 198 - wrestle friday march 27
Juniors (born 9/1/1995 & after plus still enrolled in high school) - see above weight - wrestle saturday march 28
Junior Dual teams to include (high school cadets) wrestle sunday march 29
Intermediate (born 2006-2008) - 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 85+
Novice (born 2003-2005) - 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 102, 110, 118, 118+
and Schoolgirl (born 2001-2002) - 81, 89, 97, 105, 113, 120, 128, 137, 145, 155, 175, 195
all wrestle march 29.
My current plan is to leave Wednesday March 25 about 4pm from Columbia drive to Memphis,TN and finish the trip on Thursday the 26. Have a practice make sure weight is good. Cadets check in Friday 9am weigh in 9:30 wrestle that afternoon. We will leave when our last wrestler gets her medal on the 29th drive as far as we can on Sunday and finish the trip on Monday.
The cost of the trip $300 per wrestler.
I have ordered fund raising cards which will allow you to raise $240 plus I will email you National Team Letters for you to get donations.
I need to make reservations as soon as possible please let me know this week if you plan on going.
Please let's make this the Largest SC girls team ever.
