Higher Ground is extremely excited to announce our FUTURES CAMP for young players ages 10-12, with the addition of a special program for coaches that are able to attend a single day or multiple days. The day camp will be in Columbus, GA with portion of the same time, and the same site and same staff as our 21st Annual College Prep SELECT CAMP for young ladies ages 13 and older. Our SELECT CAMP has had participants and instructors from over 30 states, plus Australia, Canada, England, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, and New Zealand. Lodging, if needed, can also be secured at special rates provided by our SELECT CAMP host hotel, the Hampton Inn Airport.
The 1996 Olympic Softball Games were played in Columbus and we have confirmed a special guest instructor Dionna Harris, the leading USA Olympic Team hitter in those games, to be with us during this camp. An outstanding staff, some with a connection to Olympic activity, is being developed and we look forward to a tremendous camp this summer. AGES: Must be 10, 11, or 12 at some time during 2016. Terrific improvement and readiness opportunity for players preparing for advanced levels of softball. We will structure this camp to help players who already have a good grasp of basic and/or intermediate skills, helping them to acquire advanced skills now or in the future. We do not recommend this camp for beginner or very basic skill players.
COACHES: We now offer coaches or other adults an option to be part of this type of fabulous opportunity. YOU can choose a single day or multi-day package. These allow on-the-field observation of all player sessions for both our FUTURES CAMP and SELECT CAMP, one or more separate coaches sessions each day, and extensive printed instructional materials.
REGISTRATION: To secure your position, we recommend early registration. With our 2016 expanded camp, space may be limited. SPECIAL INAUGURAL YEAR RATES.
