Airport at Midland Valley

Boy, did this one live up to the hype. Both teams came to battle (literally at one point in the 2nd quarter). Thankfully, everyone calmed down and got back to basketball. Airport has great talent, but the mustangs poured in on in the 4th to win 66-53. Both teams meet again Feb. 10 at Airport for what could decide the region and two or more home playoff games. Daniel Carr added 22 points to his career 1,000+ and Kameron Brown added 18 for MV. Broderick Brown is living under the radar, but he'll hurt any team that leaves him alone at the three point line.

Round 2 at Airport this Tuesday. Sauce Team has clinched a share of the region title by defeating Brookland-Cayce Friday night and can win the region outright by defeating the Eagles. Of course, you don't just walk into Airport and get the W as MV found out last season. Should be another great contest.

Yep. Still a tough place to get the W. Airport wins the rematch 47-46. MV must beat Aiken at home Thursday or risk having to share the region title with Airport. (providing they beat BC).
