Clayton Criswell, who was Head Football Coach at Silver Bluff, Lake City, and Midland Valley has passed on. Criswell was the first Head Coach at Silver Bluff when it opened in 1981 and lead them to 4 straight semifinals from 1985-1988, taking home the title in 1986. He was also the North Head Coach in the North-South Game in 1996. He also turned Midland Valley into a more competitive program taking a 1991 0-11 team and having 4 winning seasons and multiple playoff trips before retiring in 1999. RIP, Coach.

As a member of his first team at the Bluff, his attention to detail, his passion for the game and the discipline he instilled in our team in '81 made all those 2 a days worth it. R.I.P. Coach
 
RIP Coach! He had a 20 year run down here in the CSRA and had some good teams along the way. Never could quite get MVHS to SBHS status but it wasn't for a lack of trying. Sad to hear of his passing but he gave a lot to all around the Horse Creek. Saw this online,
