The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) has adopted a rule that will require all member state associations to adopt rules dealing with mandatory pitch counts and days of rest. Unfortunately, they did not adopt a model rule, such as Pitch Smart. Instead, they left it to each state association to formulate its own rule. The SCHSL will undoubtedly try to pass a watered down rule of some kind. So, we need to work hard and lobby them to pass something reasonable.
