Union County (9-0) Run Rules Byrnes (12-2) ...10-0 ... in Gold Championship Game.

Boiling Springs (8-0) defeats Dorman ... 7-2 ... with a 3 HR barrage in the Silver Championship Game.

BS draws the short straw in complicated tie break against the hosts to end up in the silver bracket.

The Union County Yellow Jackets are clearly the Belle of the Ball. Union plays the game of softball with honor and respect, and the hat is tipped.

Thank you to the Byrnes Lady Rebels for hosting such a wonderful tourney. It truly was a special night.

Yes Great Weekend of Softball! I got a chance to watch a lot of talented athletes. Congrats to Union County's Varsity Team also Union County's JV team played in the Gold Championship against Byrnes and won 7-1. Union County looks to be doing something right with the number of talented athletes they are bringing through the ranks.

Union has a coach and staff that develops their players into athletes. The team (s) know how to play the game. Last year against Hartsville in Championship game Union made the plays and made it happen when it counted. Its all about execution and making the play and they do that. When I watched Union play and when they made a mistake they were very mature about it and made the proper adjustments to not let it happen again and hurt THEIR team. Very good team and program..
