Coaching openings

Went to the state championship in NC last year, I think. As always, plucking a high school coach with a decent record out of NC is an easy road. A shame for many guys that have worked their butts off for years in SC hoping to get a job like that, but easy pickings nonetheless.

Did the current coach leave on his own at Aiken, or did he get forced out for some reason? He hadn't been there long at all.

Wife passed away and wants to be closer to kids in columbia. Was also 1-19 in 2 seasons...

Can appreciate his predicament. Tough situation for him. And to his credit, hard to be a head coach while your wife is struggling. Now his kids need him more than anything else. Aiken has some athletes but always seems to struggle for some reason

Hanna was open for a minute with Herrron retiring. Quickly hired to OC so must have been in the plans for a while.

Aiken is to announce their hire tomorrow. Word is Aiken alum and current Greenwood Assistant Olajuwon Paige is the choice.

Castellano has been hired as AD, but Brian Coleman is the "interim" coach for this year. Word is they want to open it back up in December, and that Bradley Adams is interested in coming back

If true, Adams is going to get the reputation as a job hopper. But in reality, after the way things went at Woodruff once conference play and the playoffs rolled around, had to be a huge disappointment after being so highly rated the first part of the year. But still odd that he would run through two jobs in the upstate just to go back to a place he obviously wanted to leave.

He only wanted out of Georgetown because of the principal. Said principal was just moved to the district office.

If true, maybe a good thing for both parties. He couldn't have been happy how the year went, and know the fan base was expecting more with all the firepower they had returning.
