I'm assuming they were hoping to get someone so it could be approved at their school board meeting tonight...........still waiting...
Amazing. Kennedy needs to give classes on how to keep getting jobs. Hard to imagine that he could overcome after underachieving with some pretty good talent at Irmo.
Irmo can still go outside. With what that job pays there will be a ton of good coaches wanting that job. Only issue with it being this late is that many may have already signed contracts for next year. But Irmo needs to be better. And they have the talent to be. Need to get someone they are confident can get the job done.
Irmo should just promote within as a interim position for a year. They need to hire the right coach and find someone who is actually going to coach those kids and build that program. Most coaches are preparing for spring practice next month. It will be too much of a scramble to look for someone now. Just hire a interim coach. Reggie Kennedy was not a good fit at Irmo. It was time to make a change. Irmo is an elite job in the state and needs a elite coach. I believe Kennedy is going to a good school and will continue his success there.
