Top-Seeded Beaufort Ospreys Advance In American Legion Playoffs Via Forfeit
After claiming the League 1 title and the top seed in the American Legion baseball playoffs, the Beaufort Ospreys received a free pass into the second round Monday.
The Ospreys were scheduled to begin a best-of-5 series against No. 4 seed Lower Lexington on Wednesday, but Lower Lexington has elected to forfeit it’s first-round series for the second consecutive year.
Beaufort now awaits the winner of the Manning-Horry series and will host the first game of the second round series on July 12.
