North Augusta Spring Game May 29th

Should be an interesting scrimmage since North Augusta has to replace a number of key athlete. However the rising 10th grade group is a stout class of big ole boys. They will not be pushed around by anyone. Rashad Byrd is getting a lot of Division 1 attention from Coaches across the Southeast. I look for him to make a big splash here soon. The format for the scrimmage will be basically the 1st time offense vs 1 team defense and so on. Scrimmage starts at 6 pm with Free admission.

How's the NA O-Line shaping up? Does the QB and WR situation look good? NA had a good season last year making it to the quarterfinals but struggled compared to previous years. Are they going to be improved over last year? Keep in mind those rising big ole boy 10th graders will be going up against big ole boy 12th graders. Should be an interesting year! The Jacket Nest will be rocking with the big time scoreboard and the new rug on the field!

They have been looking good so far in practice. Looks like Coach Thomas is putting in more of the style defense he ran in NC. As far as QB Washington looks great! Throws the ball well and the receivers have responded to him timing wise quickly. Hard to tell yet about those boys on the line. Guess we will find out next Friday night. Those "BIG OLE" Junior Boys I think can handle most of those seniors except for Mazzone. "NOBODY" is going to handle that young man without getting hurt!! LOL As far as the new rug still haven't heard if the School Board have approved any bids yet. Once that is done then it takes 60 days to install.
