Any predictions this weekend? I've only seen 4A, so here's mine:

106 - Patterson
113 - White
120 - Wooten - won in SV over Maholtz in upstate - they're 1-1 - could be the rubber match?
126 - Jenkins
132 - Mansfield - Jenkins/Mansfield - should be a great final
138 - Braden -
145 - Whitlock - he's a beast
152 - North - Stroud looked great - did a great job on his feet with Carillo. Carillo cleans up his angles and sets up his shots - could be much more competitive. Great weight class.
160 - Rodgers
170 - Beehler
182 - Pressey - another solid weight class
195 - Smith
220 - Sully (gave up 1 point lead pushing the action with 10 seconds left in upstate finals)
285 - Manos

Only thing I would add to your prediction is 106 upper state finals was close (2-0) Blue Ridge kid was in it also chapin kid is in the mix at 120 and I think debo wins 220 just my 2 cents

I would agree on paper but there always seems to be an upset or two. Look out for RH kid at 132. RB HWT in my opinion will win the rematch.

At 113 5A should be interesting. I think the lower state overall has the edge, and all for wrestlers had close matches. I agree Brassuer winning a close one but I could see him facing Wunderlich in the finals. Wunderlich had some great matches in lower state including one against Emery where most people there felt he scored two at the end and would have won. All the 113 lower state matches that involved the qualifier were close and good.

Also dont rule out Brennen Michaels at 145 4A he is a beast.

At 5A 113 Brown, Brassuer, and Emery looked tough. Wunderlich had 2 chances vs Emery Saturday lost both. The Brown Brassuer match was pretty good. Brassuer pulled that one out, he's a good wrestler.

Definitely agree that Maholtz will be top 3 at 120. Outside of 106, 138, 182 and maybe 195, Eastside will place 10 of 14.

I agree Maholtz definitely is in the mix and has potential to win it all. A very hard bracket to call. I'm sure I'll be wrong in a few places.

If you saw the Lower State matches, Wunderlich should have won one of those matches. You had a local ref, and a local wrestler with a blatantly obvious call gets blown in favor of the local wrestler right at the end of the match. Most of the people watching the match agree the ref blew the call. Wunderlich lost 5-4 and 5-3. I would hardly assume the Emery will be him again if they meet.

I heard a lot of complaints about Riverbluff wrestlers being favored by refs.

Couple of upsets early! 120 - Maholtz pinned by Spann, 126 - Baker beaten by O'quinn - lowcountry boys coming on strong. Looks like Chance Pride and Alex Brown aren't on the brackets - did they miss weight?
