Interesting. We will see.
Why do th preseason polls mean so much to you?Everything was completely new. They're supposed to sputter. Is this really your basis? They still made it to semis.
I think Greenwood will be relevant. There is no doubting Dan Pippen and his track record and a guy like that in the talent rich environment that Greenwood provides could easily turn into a team that is THE team to beat every year.Mostly newness to the scheme and coach. They went from run based triple option to the spread. Pretty big change for our kids. Team was fairly young, we were doing lots of rotating to find the best fit at positions. Especially qb. Through all of this, they found a way to make it to semis. Now they have a year under their belt, and many of this issues are a non issue this season. Why do I put so much stock into your preseason poll? Because I respect what you write and feel you know sc high school football better than most. But this time I disagree. 7 on 7s and combines help a lot, but they don't make us or any team for that matter. Many other things at play. Rarely threw at all in 2012 and went undefeated.

I think you and I have similar thoughts, I just want to seethe 2015 product first. Which is coming very soon. Will you be there at the Bluff for that opener?
JB what channel are you'll covering the Greenwood-Dutch Fork game? I had planned to drive but if I can catch on television I'll do that and save the gas.
i just might I live in Inman and made the drive last year. River Bluff has a very impressive facility.Make the drive. Our team needs our support. I'm driving from Simpsonville.
Yes they do. We beat ourselves last year most of the times. Will be different this season I believe.i just might I live in Inman and made the drive last year. River Bluff has a very impressive facility.
If I were you, I wouldn't worry about what Westside is going to do with Daniel, Lexington, or BHP...I'd focus more on what YOU are going to do with Dutch Fork, Dorman, Northwestern and Spartanburg. You right!!! Preseason polls don't mean a thing. Westside will probably lose again to Daniel.....maybe even Lexington by the skin of their teeth. Who knows BHP might have their number this year.
He wasn't the one who brought up non region games. Your fellow eagle brought them up.Non region games besides all that matters is if you win the state .or did I miss read your post.

You're right about that; GW always plays a touch out of region schedule. Prepares them well for the playoffs. The problem is now is there are other teams IN region that are pretty good. They could probably afford to lighten the load by at least two of those teams. You're right. Our schedule is probably one of the most brutal out there. Wouldn't have it any other way. At least we're playing top tier competition. We could pad our schedule. Glad we don't.
I agree JB, but it is what it is. Right now every game is a big game. You're right about that; GW always plays a touch out of region schedule. Prepares them well for the playoffs. I thought I had answered it in an earlier post; we will be on WACH-57 locally and Time Warner WACH digital channel (not sure which channel yet).JB@Rivals where can I find the televised coverage of the Greenwood-Dutch Fork game? I noticed you said y'all will be covering it. Hopefully a third time asking is a charm, if you don't see my question this time I'm just going to give up and let it go. Fingers crossed.

I agree, Greenwood is playing tough teams but can not win the big ones if you don't play the big games.I think Greenwood goes to Westwood Friday .not sure of the time.

Hey JB! Since Greenwood has the second toughest schedule in the state. I don't have to worry about Dutch Fork, Dorman, Northwestern and Spartanburg. The non-region games will make Greenwood better in region regardless if we lose or not.
Not trying to upset you JB or anything but Westside is not a top 5 team in the state. Your calculations must be slightly off or something. Maybe they should be ranked 9 or 10. They have to show me that the can beat Daniel and Woodmont first.
